Sweden Creek Falls is a 1.5 mile hike in the Buffalo River area that features an 80 foot waterfall with a seasonal pool below (all dependent on rainfall.) The hike down is simple, watch out for roots & rocks. There are multiple stops along the way to see smaller falls that have formed after a rainfall. The trail is well marked with blue diamond signs on the trees, it made it very easy to follow the trail.
We felt like the climb back out wasn’t too bad, but the reviews & other people I’ve talked to who have hiked the trail, felt like going back up was tough. So keep that in mind when hiking back to the car.
Eventually, you come to the bottom of the falls, & it’s a great place to play, have your snacks, & enjoy Arkansas’s natural wonders!
