I live several hours away & it was going to require lots…

Shaddox Hollow Nature Trail in Rogers, Arkansas is a trail our family loves to hike! We have hiked it so many times we could probably hike it in the dark. I’m trying to figure out what this space means for me & how I want to continue to use it going forward. I don’t run it as a business, it’s purely for fun, & back in October the joy I found in it dissipated a bit. So, I decided to take Michaela Cole’s advice & venture into the silence to see what comes to me.
.
I’m still hopping on to see what my friends are up to, what adventures they’re on, & to be inspired by them. Y’all are so awesome!

Happy Holidays friends, I’ll see you in the new year! ❤️
Hi friends. 👋🏻 Went away for a bit, you can Hi friends. 👋🏻 Went away for a bit, you can see in my stories why. 😬

In the midst of everything, guess what?!?! We finally closed on the last portion of our land & a dream came true for us this month!!

We officially have 16 acres, are shopping for a builder, & are having so much fun going out there every day & weekend. The only thing that could make it better is us already living there!

And guess what?? We’ve got a business opportunity for it already & plans for a LLC. 🙌🏻 And……… if it all works out, you might get to come visit us for an adventure weekend! More on that soon!! ☺️😉

Happy weekend, here’s to being grateful for health & not taking it for granted (see stories.)🤍

What are your weekend plans?? Ours are to stay home & do some work on the land. Here’s some pics we took the day we closed to celebrate, it’s also our Christmas card pics. Ha!

I changed my approach to my account a few months ago, to only talk about what I want, to quit tailoring it to what I think I should say vs what I want to say. To quit being a part of the sea of screaming voices of opinions & instead to take a step back on what I share & really listen & learn from the people I admire, respect, & yes, even disagree with on some issues. To make sure that if I’m sharing about issues important to me that I’m not counting a reshare in my stories as my work to help make this world a better place but that I’m actually making a difference in my own small way OFFLINE.

I don’t watch much TV, I don’t watch many award shows, so I didn’t know who Michaela Cole was before she gave her now famous speech, but leave it to a fabulous writer to have a huge impact with only a few words, right?? She’s awesome.

She dedicated her speech to sexual assault survivors, so today, I’ll second that dedication & also add a dedication to victims of domestic violence. May you always know your worth, know you have never ever deserved the abuse, trust your own mind, & know you are *allowed* to leave & create a happy, SAFE life for yourself. I’ve added the national domestic violence hotline number to my bio link. 🤍🤍
To the 1349 of you who follow me in this space, I To the 1349 of you who follow me in this space, I just wanted to say thank you. I decided a long time ago that this account wasn’t going to exist to collect followers but to get to know inspiring people from all walks of life. And so far, I’ve done that. I’ve met some of the most incredible women all chasing their passions & I am inspired every day!

I have a million different interests & this account has evolved with me over the last 4 years. It’s gone from a fitness account to help me keep up with a fitness challenge where I posted random pics of food 😳🤣 to the outdoors & homeschooling, cake baking, book reading, & maybe someday to small farming. Thanks for being on the journey & reading all my long stories. 🤍

Happy weekend friends, I hope you have a great one!
Hands down my favorite book of my 52 books in a ye Hands down my favorite book of my 52 books in a year challenge for 2021. 🙌🏻 I highly recommend it!

A true story about Elizabeth Packard, a woman who was committed to an insane asylum because she opposed her husband’s religious doctrine, she was for women having a voice outside of their marriage, she wanted equality between spouses & for wives to not merely be property, & she was for the abolition of enslaved persons when her husband was not. It’s a heart wrenching story about a woman who is now one of my historical heroines. My life as a woman is now safer because of her & her journey!

And also, it didn’t hurt that I got to read it on a rock island in the middle of the Buffalo River while on a hike eating my oh so delicious ramen noodles. 😬😍
✨Those Buffalo River bluffs though.✨Swipe to s ✨Those Buffalo River bluffs though.✨Swipe to see what I’m talking about!

Arkansas lays claim to THE tallest bluffs between the Rockies & the Appalachians, standing at over 500 feet tall. Also a fun tidbit?? If you make it over to the Goat Trail that’s home to the famous “tallest bluff” (be very careful on this trail!) you’ll see 800 year old Juniper trees that have grown on to the rock edge. 😵

Another fun fact, not very far from there, is the tallest waterfall between the Rockies & the Appalachians known as Hemmed in Hollow. One of my most favorite hikes to date!

Standing at the base of these bluffs that wind up & down the river is breathtaking, awe inspiring, & reminds me of the magnificence of our creator. Every stress, every worry, every problem I carried with me into that river washed away with the current.

Arkansas, you’re beautiful. You calmed my spirit, you gave me peace when I needed it. I 🤍 you.
It’s Wednesday, but I think it’s Tuesday. I’ It’s Wednesday, but I think it’s Tuesday. I’m all kinds of confused & wondering if it’s the weekend yet.😬 Anyone else??
